HYPNOTHERAPY
What is
Hypnotherapy?
If we have suffered
unpleasant experiences that we have been unable to cope with or resolve, even
though we may have forgotten about them, they can be causing us constant
physical and emotional damage.
Whatever we have experienced in our past affects who we are now and how we
think, feel and behave.
The subconscious mind is a
vast store of all these past experiences and the emotions that went with them.
It is much more responsible for the way we behave than we realise.
Unpleasant experiences leaving negative memories buried in our subconscious will
actively influence us now. These memories often cause us to think, feel
and behave in ways that we do not want, but seem powerless to change. For
example; the child bitten by a dog may go through life frightened of dogs, the
baby who went hungry may become a compulsive eater and the child whose parent
left the family home may develop a possessive nature in relationships. There are
so many ways in which the subconscious can rule the behaviour of the conscious.
The memories can affect our physical health too,
such as the way we hold our body, particularly the spine, causing back problems.
I suffered from this for 13 years until hypnotherapy cured it overnight.
Sometimes the tension of stored emotion can cause digestive problems, such as
irritable bowel syndrome. There is also evidence to suggest that the sorrow or
shock of a stored trauma may cause such problems as cancer, arthritis, multiple
sclerosis or a whole host of other hard or impossible to cure health problems.
For example: grief can cause asthma, stress can cause high blood pressure and
fear can cause intestinal problems. There are many other diseases and conditions
that can be caused by unresolved trauma and they can usually be helped with
hypnotherapy.
By using hypnosis to access
the subconscious, where these memories reside, a skilled hypnotherapist can help
their client regress to the times that these problems occurred. By reliving them, at
the safe distance that they are now in, the client can again face the problems
that they couldn’t deal with all that time ago. This time, they are helped
to resolve the problem and let go of the negative emotion, as they didn’t then,
and the process of being released from the symptoms, behavioural, emotional or
physical, should begin.
Suggestibility of the subconscious mind
The subconscious is also open to
suggestions about how we should behave and how we should feel. During hypnosis
the subconscious will absorb suggestions to feel or behave in a more positive
and beneficial manner. If these suggestions are repeated over a period of time
they will become more deeply embedded in our minds and will help us to be the
person we want to be.
It is
my aim to restore you to health or solve your problem as quickly
as possible and
I will always use every effort effort to keep the number
of consultations
to a minimum. Using the personalised tapes reduces the necessity for
frequent and numerous consultations.
